Navigating the Mental Health System: Ryan is an Advocate Representative from the Office of the Alberta health Advocates that will be here to discuss issues of importance to families interacting with the mental health system. The discussion will include the application of the Mental Health Act and patient rights, navigating the mental health system, resources and accessing services. He will be discussing the role of Alberta’s Mental Health Patient Advocate and Health Advocate and through group discussion attempt to address concerns and questions regarding the health system and the complex navigation of complaints mechanisms.
