Advocacy and Why It Matters: On Tuesday, Jan. 29, SSA members will have the opportunity to learn about advocacy and why it matters from Global Public Affairs - Canada’s leading government advocacy and strategic communications consultancy. This presentation will educate members about tools for grassroots advocacy efforts, that they can use to raise awareness about the impact of schizophrenia on those living with the disease and their support network. Members will also learn about the government decision-making process, including how drug approval and access works, as well as important political dynamics in 2019 as Alberta prepares for a provincial election.
